What's the difference between a Zombie Movie and a Survival Movie?

mmmmm....I guess a good "survival" movie would be one more focused on survival and not so much on zombies. In fact, it probably doesn't even need to have a zombie in it. I think it can be anything that is about characters surviving in extreme conditions. Something that might showcase some worthy ideas and tactics that could be used in a zombie situation.

I mean, I Am Legend is one type of survival movie. Alive is another. The last half of Predator has some good made-from-nothing-traps that could help brainstorm for protecting your own shelter.

Survival movies is pretty open in my book. I just take it at anything that has people surviving in unique situations.

I like Castaway :)

I like the Huggabunch Movie. Her struggle to survive is heartrending.

Does Predator count? That movie is badass!
