Noticed I said Your top 5 of the year. This isn't about creating the definitive list of end all be all "best" movies of the year. This is about what we each individually enjoyed the most this past year? What movie watching experiences stayed with you this year? It's stuff like this I don't think the Oscars pay any attention to.

Here's my favorite 5 of 2008. The order of them is completely interchangeable. What ever one I watched most recently would be my favorite so they will forever be rotating.

To me, these are spectacular movies that truly showcased the power and beauty of cinema. Each movie had me running through a gauntlet of emotions. There's nothing I love more than laughing, cheering, and crying all during the same movie. These are movies I will watch over and over again just to re-experience the roller coaster rides of cinema they are.

Sometimes, I love movies so much it hurts!

I didn't get to see too many new movies this year so i also added movies that were made last year that i saw this year to my list to choose from. i also tried to put my list in order.

I really liked In Burges too. I'm really glad that it was nominated for screenplay. One of the few noms I liked in the Oscars noms for this year.
